Being cyclists ourselves we understand what it means to ride safely on Indian roads. We have been riding on these roads crossing various cities, towns, and villages over the last 15 years. It has become one of our major goals to search for safe riding routes and treks which will give our cyclist the complete experience. We totally understand what the riders look for when it comes to safe riding routes. The process of identifying such routes before we make it available for our guests is done very carefully. We start with motorized recce to connect all the safe routes and then we ride on them keeping in mind the requirements of our guests. We identify various pit stops on the tracks and also mark all the nearby hospitals and police stations on the map in case of emergencies. Most of the routes are backroads and with very less traffic or obstacles. These routes are created in such a way that the big cities and towns are only used for entry and exit points.
Recon starts with a motorized on the ground survey and connecting with the locals. With the help of some locals of the area, we start a ground survey, identify places of interest en route and create experiences which are unique. Then we connect these safe routes and come back with our bikes to ride on them and understand how it feels to be on these tracks. This gives us a lot of practice and a fair idea on fine-tuning the routes.
To give our riders a safe cover on the route we have an SOP [Standard Operating Procedure] of rides to make the ride more comfortable and tension free. Wirelessly connected support vehicles will be positioned in front and at the back. These vehicles will be placed at a safe distance from the rider and every rider travels between these two vehicles. There will be one roving vehicle which will be parked on the routes for refills and to grab a quick energy bar. We also provide trained leaders who ride with our guests to make them feel comfortable with Indian roads and the people. As we pass through villages and towns or while interacting with the locals, our leaders will constantly display the Indian culture and customs that are visible. During the tour, your bike also goes through a lot of stress which might result in wear and tear. We have gone a step ahead to address that challenge and we have hired a professional bike mechanic. The mechanic's main job is to take care of your bike and clean them on daily basis. This is to make sure that the cycles are running smooth and trouble free.
We carefully suggest the kind of bike which will be suitable for the routes. The guests can also hire some of the best bikes which are all in good condition. If it is a camping tour we have state of the art camping equipment and we also ensure that our guests are accommodated in the most hygienic environment.
While making safe routes and ensuring the rides go as per the plan has been our strengths as a tour operator. We took further actions to ensure safety and have an evacuation plan. Dedicated officials and ambulances will be ready to deploy in case of emergencies.
